Untitled

This contemplative textile work merges the delicate imprints of nature with the timeless wisdom of scripture. Created through an eco-printing process, eucalyptus leaves and African daisies were carefully pressed and steamed onto cotton fabric, leaving mirrored impressions in soft, earthy tones. The fabric was mordanted with alum and iron water, enriching the botanical pigments and creating an ethereal, layered surface.
At the center, an excerpt from Ecclesiastes (3:1–2, 4–5) unfolds across the fabric in elegant script, reflecting on the natural rhythms of life: birth and death, joy and sorrow, gathering and release. The dialogue between text and botanical forms invites the viewer into a meditative space, where the cycles of nature and spirit gently intertwine. This piece honors the beauty of impermanence and the quiet purpose found in every season of existence.
